Pharmacists play an important public health role in optimizing adult immunizations. As patients visit their pharmacy for flu shots, pharmacists have the opportunity to discuss additional adult immunizations that may benefit many patients.

Join us on Tuesday, October 6 for another edition of The Right Dose series where we will discuss directions and recommendations from authorities such as the National Advisory Committee on Immunizations (NACI). Tips and tricks on how to engage the entire pharmacy staff to assist patients in an efficient and safe manner will also be discussed. Case studies will showcase how to approach patients to optimize their protection from various preventable diseases.

With so many changes in pharmacy such as COVID-19, high dose influenza vaccine for seniors and potential scope expansion (e.g. 2 year-old) in UIIP program, it is important to become familiar with operational and policy updates and recommendations during this time. In this webinar, Tiana Tilli will review the guidelines and recommendations from various resources (e.g. NACI/PHAC/OPA/OCP/CPhA), describe optimal pharmacy set-up and workflow, and help you operationalize adult immunization programs beyond flu vaccines with case studies. You will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to assist with implementation of your learnings upon return to your practices.
