Assessment and Management of Patients with Migraine

Learn how to tackle migraine management issues and how new calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) drugs are being used for the treatment and prevention of migraines.

An occasional headache does not compare to the severe pain that patients who suffer from migraine headaches experience. For some patients, symptoms are so severe that over-the-counter medication is rarely effective. This, sometimes debilitating, form of headache can last hours or even days with patients experiencing recurring or chronic episodes.

Helping patients suffering from migraine headaches is not easy. This program provides you with the clinical knowledge you need to tackle the most challenging migraine management issues. From identifying the factors to consider when assessing a patient with a headache, to treatment and therapy plans for migraines, this course will equip you with all of the knowledge you need to identify the different types of migraines patients may experience and establish a treatment plan that works.

Along with providing insight on acute migraine treatment and prophylaxis therapy options, this course also focuses on a newer calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) inhibitor drugs specifically designed to treat and prevent migraine headaches.

CGRP inhibitor drugs, unlike other medications and therapy options, don’t just aim to treat migraines, but also prevent them. This course will include more examples of practical application on CGRP drugs through patient cases.

At the end of this course, you will be able to apply what you’ve learned into practice and develop the best treatment and prevention options for your patients, hopefully improving their quality of life.
