This program is tailored for pharmacy technicians and is recognized by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) for registered pharmacy technician injection training. The program also addresses the 7 competencies approved and required by The Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP).
In-Person Live Session:
This mandatory in-person live session is for the practical exam portion of the course. Your course instructor will give you the information regarding time and location of the assessment.

In-person Assessment (1 hour):
This mandatory in-person session includes practicing injection techniques and a practical exam, where learners demonstrate intramuscular and subcutaneous injections on a partner.

- Completion requirement: Complete the program’s online component. Attend the in-person live session and successfully demonstrate the skills required to administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. Achieve 70% or more on the final multiple- choice exam (maximum two attempts) and complete the reflective exercise and evaluations before the course expiry date.

The Injections Training Certificate Program for Pharmacy Technicians is a two-part series designed to support pharmacy technicians in the provision of injections for COVID-19 and influenza vaccines (under specific conditions).
