Module 1: What’s New in Influenza Vaccines
- Identify vaccine options available for influenza immunization
- Describe new vaccine technologies currently in use
- Recommend appropriate influenza vaccines for children, seniors, and other special populations including pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals
Module 2: Review of Injection Administration
- Determine the supplies needed to safely administer injections
- Properly landmark the injection site for intramuscular injections
- Describe strategies to reduce patient pain and anxiety related to injections
- Identify strategies to reduce the risk of needlestick injury
Module 3: Managing and Reporting Adverse Events Following Immunization
- Describe common adverse reactions to influenza immunization and strategies for their management
- Identify and manage anaphylaxis
- Report adverse events following influenza immunization
