Who should take this course:

The Injections and Immunizations Certificate Program is a comprehensive two-part series designed to support pharmacists in the provision of injections for the purposes of education, demonstration, and immunization.

This blended program consists of in-person live and online components that will prepare pharmacists to administer flu injections through the Universal Influenza Immunization Program (UIIP), as well as to add other injection and immunization services as per current regulations and existing standards of practice.

CPR and First Aid training are not required before taking the Injections and Immunizations Certificate Program; however, you will require valid certification in CPR and First Aid (the equivalent of the Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR “C” + AED Course level) in order to register your injection training with OCP. For further information, visit the OCP website at www.ocpinfo.com. The Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA) has secured a special rate for OPA members to complete this training with the Canadian Red Cross. Please visit the members benefit section of OPA’s website for further information.
