Robin Andrade is a registered pharmacy technician, and a full-time professional practice instructor at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy. After graduating from the Mohawk McMaster Institute for Applied Health Sciences in 2001, she gained experience in both community and hospital pharmacy. Robin has a passion for teaching and learning and has been instructing pharmacists for over 8 years. She focuses on teaching topics related to dispensing and community pharmacy, and regularly monitors software advancements so that her students obtain current experience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Robin contributed to various vaccination clinics, preparing vaccines and training students to help meet demands. Her commitment to pharmacy earned her a nomination for the University of Waterloo’s 2021 Excellence in Pharmacy Teaching Award and an Excellence in Research or Innovation in Assessment award from AFPC/PEBC. In 2019, she returned to school to obtain her Bachelor of Education from Brock University, and after graduation, she will continue her path of learning with a Master of Education.
