A customer was feeling dizzy and almost fainted while shopping in the store. Our pharmacy manager, Bindu, was immediately notified and attended to the customer’s needs. Realizing that there was a communication barrier, she immediately turned to the Global translating service, VOYCE, offered at Rexall.
Bindu was able to connect to a Farsi translator in minutes and was able to clearly communicate and assess the patient. Realizing an unusually high BP at the pharmacy, Bindu had advised the patient to seek medical assistance at the clinic next door. The clinic was given a heads up, and if they needed assistance, they could reach our to the pharmacy team.
The doctor at the clinic called back to let the pharmacy team know that it is a great service that Rexall is offering and it was a job well done. The patient had an extremely high BP over 175/95 at the clinic as well. The patient eventually received a prescription for her condition, and she was extremely thankful.
