To assist Ontario pharmacists in implementing the MedsCheck program, the Ontario Pharmacists Association has created a series of educational videos. Beyond the Counter: MedsCheck guides pharmacists and technicians through the MedsCheck process, from initial engagement with a patient to performing the MedsCheck Follow-up. Each scenario demonstrates the value of a well-coordinated, team-based approach to the program.
When the pharmacist and technician work smoothly together to realize operational efficiencies, it not only helps to integrate MedsCheck services into the daily routine, but also ensures that the patient is satisfied with the care, is empowered by the experience, and feels a sense of loyalty to the pharmacy team.
