Dyslipidemia is a condition in which there is an abnormal amount of lipids (fats) in the blood. This course provides an overview of the pathophysiology and components of dyslipidemia, including its causes, risk factors, diagnosis, and management. Participants will learn about the role of strains in the elderly and be introduced to the latest Canadian and American guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of dyslipidemia. This course is designed for pharmacists who want to expand their knowledge of dyslipidemia and improve their ability to care for patients with this condition.
