Module 1: Dr. Lawrence Martin – Diving into Adult ADHD— What Pharmacy Professionals Should Know
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition often associated with pediatric patients, but it can last into adulthood. ADHD and the associated symptoms can be problematic and cause disruptions in everyday life. Understanding the patient experience is a vital start to helping patients.
In the first part of this 3-series program, Dr. Martin will provide a background on how ADHD is diagnosed in adults, the patient journey, common misconceptions regarding the condition, and how to screen and assess for ADHD.
Module 2: Rami Safi (RPh) – Assessing Patient Records for Optimal Treatment
Undiagnosed adult ADHD as an adult can leave patients frustrated and misunderstood. Patient records can contain clues that can uncover inappropriate or under-treated conditions. Discover how to utilize records to enhance service delivery and patient care. Also, learn insights on how to best collaborate with a patient’s physician to recommend treatment adjustments.
Module 3: Dr. Jamie Kellar – Consulting Patients with ADHD
Pharmacy professionals can be a valuable source of information for a patient with ADHD. In this final program, Dr. Keller will discuss the education principles around consulting with a patient. Also learn how to reinforce information that the patient needs so they can make an informed decision, and customize treatment based on where the individual is in their patient journey.

- Summarize epidemiology, clinical presentation, and treatment of ADHD
- Describe the role of the pharmacist in ADHD management from the different stakeholder perspectives
- Dispel common myths about ADHD
- Discuss resources and key areas of education for patients/families living with ADHD
- List resources for patients and families
