Learn how to understand and interpret common laboratory values through examining framework assessments and reviewing questions such as is the value abnormal? Is management necessary? And more. The program will advance your knowledge of various lab tests including, electrolytes, complete blood count (CBC), serum creatinine, liver function tests, and thyroid function tests. Also, gain insights into therapeutic drug levels. With the increase in access to patient’s clinical information via provincial viewers, this course will better equip you in your day-to-day practice.

This program is part of the Knowledge into Practice suite of educational programs. Knowledge into Practice programs are designed to facilitate the application of the knowledge acquired from continuing education programs into your clinical practice. In this course, we discuss access to patient lab values through the use of provincial clinical viewer. Patient cases are used to demonstrate how this information can be incorporated in the provision and documentation of enhanced pharmacy services for patients.
